South, “joie de vivre” and tradition
In our imagination the South evokes images of sunny vineyards, peaceful villages, stone-paved squares, small brooks, fountains of crystalline waters splashing against moss-covered stones, local fêtes that announce the joy of summer…scenes and memories that seem to deny the passage of time.
Memories which are associated with a kind of life in harmony with tradition, la “joie de vivre” which seems to evade us in other latitudes.
